Biography

I am a Senior Fellow (Level C) at the University of Melbourne (2025-) and was a Research Fellow (2024-2025) working with Prof. Vassilis Kostakos. Prior to that, I was a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge (2021-2024) working with Prof. Cecilia Mascolo. I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science, supervised by Prof. Wen Hu, from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2021.

My research interests include efficient machine learning, human-centered AI, and mobile intelligence. I have served as a PC and reviewer for top-tier journals and conferences, including NeurIPS, IJCAI, ACM IMWUT/UbiComp, ACM CHI, ACM UIST, PMCJ, ACM TMC, ACM IPSN, ACM SenSys, ACM TheWebConf and more. My research contributions have been recognized in the field with several awards, including the 2024 Best Paper Runner-Up Award at ACM IPSN, the 2023 ACM MobiSys Rising Star Award from ACM SIGMOBILE, and the 2022 Best Poster Runner-Up Award at ACM MobiCom.

Research Interests
  • Efficient machine learning: Designing efficient, embedded ML and on-device LLMs for resource-constrained platforms, such as mobile and edge devices.
  • Human-centered AI: Developing innovative sensing technologies and algorithms to understand human in various contexts.
  • Mobile intelligence: Designing novel human-AI interaction techniques for mobile and wearable devices.
